BadgeWeft ("we", "us") operates BadgeWeft Trust Badges & Icons (the "App") for Shopify merchants. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Shop and account data — store domain, app installation status, and staff session data required to authenticate with Shopify.
• Badge configuration — badge names, designs, icons, placement rules, and publish status you create in the app admin.
• Catalog metadata for targeting — product tags, collection handles, and customer tag names when you use placement features that reference them. We use this only to decide where badges appear; we do not download full product catalogs for unrelated purposes.
• Billing status — plan tier and Shopify subscription status when you upgrade to a paid plan (payments are processed by Shopify, not stored by us).
• Technical logs — request logs and error diagnostics to keep the App reliable and secure.

How we use information

• Provide, operate, and improve the App and storefront badge delivery.
• Enforce plan limits and billing entitlements.
• Respond to support requests and security incidents.
• Comply with legal obligations and Shopify platform requirements.

What we do not do

• We do not sell merchant or customer personal data.
• We do not use storefront visitor data for advertising profiles.
• We do not store Shopify payment card details.

Data sharing

We use infrastructure providers (hosting and database) to run the App. These processors access data only to provide their services to us under contractual safeguards. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the App and our users.

Retention

We retain app data while your store has the App installed. When you uninstall, we delete or anonymize shop data in line with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks and our data retention practices.
